Presiding Judge approves Grand Jury Selection Procedures. Begin to advertise vacancies and solicit applications.	Application process closed. Background investigations of nominees initiated.	Applications reviewed by committee of Judges and 30 persons recommended for the proposed Grand Jury Panel.

June	July	July to June
Jury commissioner submits names to presiding Judge. Presiding Judge makes final modifications to the proposed 30 person Grand Jury panel. Selection of up to 10 members from the prior year panel may be considered. Mandatory orientation program for 30 person proposed panel.	Final random drawing of the non carry-over positions to form the 19 member Grand Jury. Installation and charging of the Grand Jury. Release of Prior Year Grand Jury Report.	Responses to prior Grand Jury report received. (90 days, non-elected officials, 60 days elected officials) Grand Jury receives and processes citizen complaints, performs investigations, and prepares interim reports. Attend protocol visits to cities, county agencies and districts. Final Report issued 30 June.
